Curriculum:
We will start the school year with a review of the scientific method and metrics, with a culminating lab on twinkies, testing all the skills. The majority of the year will be spent on 4 textbooks:
The Nature of Matter: Basic chemistry concepts and the periodic table
Electricity and Magnetism: Electrical circuits with individual kits
Life's Structure and Function: Microscope usage, plant cells, animal cells, viruses, and genetics
From Bacteria to Plants: Bacteria, amoeba, paramecium, euglena, and plant structures
Supplies:
A variety of materials are needed: binder, notebook paper, ruler, blue/black and red pens, pencils, glue, scissors, markers and papertowel.

Glencoe Science Website: Textbooks are available online. Codes will be given directly to the students.
