Daily Announcements for Tuesday, May 15, 2012
- This is the final call for all Hoop-a-thon permission slips and Jamba Juice order forms! Please turn in your forms to your homeroom teacher today! All slips must be turned in to your homeroom teacher now! If you don't have a permission slip turned in you will not be able to participate on Friday! Remember all 7th graders will come to the gym during 1st hour, all 8th graders will come during 2nd and all 6th graders will come during 3rd hour! If you don't have a permission slip you will go to your regularly scheduled classes on Friday.
- Any track team member who plans on attending the track picnic on Friday DO NOT forget to tell one of the coaches that you are attending by Tuesday, May 15. ) or Ms. Olson (lolson@orland135.org) with any questions.
- The Final Sale of our 2012 Jerling Yearbooks is on!! Students who did not purchase a yearbook in the fall have the opportunity now to do so! 2011-12 yearbooks will be handed out on your last day of school, so be sure to have yours purchased before then! They are $25, and forms can be picked up in the main office. Forms and checks are to be turned in to the office so that the yearbook club can record all purchases. Please contact Mrs. Slattery (aslattery@orland135.orgThere is a Chorale rehearsal after school today until 4:45. We only have three rehearsals before next week's concert, so please make every effort to attend!
- Due to tomorrow being Institute Day, Computer Club will be cancelled.
- Jerling PFE Reminders:
- Jerling Discount Card: Have you ordered your discount card yet? So many great discounts at local businesses! Only $10 and every penny goes to classroom technology. Here is the link to the order form.
- The next Yearbook meeting will be on Thursday, May 17th until 4:30pm in Room 116.
- Homework Lab is Tuesdays thru Fridays starting at 7:41am. Students must arrive on time for homework lab. A Reading Lab is available on Tuesdays after school and a Math Lab is available on Thursdays after school until 4:00pm.
- The Tutoring Centeris open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at the Orland Hills Police Station from 4:00-5:00pm. Come join us for studying and pizza!
- If your child will be absent from school please call the Absentee Hotline (364-3737) before 9:00am if possible. Also, please call the hotline and leave a message if your child is going to be late. If the student has been absent for 2 or more consecutive days you may request homework on the Absentee Hotline at anytime during the message. Homework is available for pickup from 2:30-4:00pm in the office. Reminder: Students are given 2 days to make up work for every day that they are out sick.
Daily Announcements for Monday, May 14, 2012
- Any 8th grader interested in giving the Graduation Speech needs to submit a copy of their speech to the office today. Try-outs are going to be on Friday, May 18 before school.
- Congratulations goes out to the girls and boys track teams for their amazing finish at conference this weekend. The 7th grade girls took 2nd place, 7th grade boys took 1st place, and the 8th grade boys and girls took 1st place. Way to go to the entire team for a great end to your season.
- Tomorrow is the last day for you to turn in your Hoop-a-Thon and Jamba Juice forms. Remember in order to participate in the Hoop a thon you will need a minimum of $2.00 donation and a signed permission slip. The hoop a thon will take place on Friday! All 7th graders who turn in their slip will come down during 1st hour, 8th graders will come down 2nd and 6th graders will come down 3rd. Remember all the donations will go to the P.F.E. ) or Ms. Olson (lolson@orland135.org) with any questions.
