Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to an exciting school year! We are glad that you will be a part of Jerling Junior High School. We look forward to working with you and your child during the upcoming school year.
Listed below are important events/dates for the beginning of the 2008-2009 school year:
Sixth Grade & New Incoming Students Orientation
- Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
- Parents and students
- Presentation begins promptly at 9:00 a.m.
First Day of School
- Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 8:30 to 10:45 a.m.
- District 13 Transportation Office has sent a letter to qualifying families designating bus times and stops. If you have questions regarding your bus transportation, please call 708-364-3337.
- Students should bring a pen and a spiral notebook.
Open House
- Tuesday, September 2, 2008, 6:30 p.m.
- Please – parents only
- Join us for a short informational meeting in the gym and then follow your child's schedule to visit each teacher.
School Pictures
- Friday, September 19, 2008
- Picture forms will be distributed at school.
Your child's schedule will be mailed to you mid-August. We regret that no changes in class schedules will be possible unless we have made an error. Class schedules are tailored to fit individual academic needs, which make changing schedules very difficult.
