       It is hard to believe that the school year is coming to a close. It has been a great year. The students at Meadow Ridge are an extremely talented and creative group. I am very proud of all the things they have accomplished. The third, fourth and fifth graders will bring their art portfolios home with all their art work they created during the fourth quarter. All the art work that was displayed in different art shows throughout the year will be returned as well. The fifth graders will also be getting back their sketchbooks. The sketchbooks have been used since the start of fourth grade and has followed them through the end of fifth grade. It is a nice way for the students to reflect and look back on how much they have improved.
      
         As the summer approaches many parents look for differnt events and camps for their children to attend. The Orland Park District, McCord Gallery, The Center and Moranine Valley Community College are some great places you might want to sign your child or children up to attend art classes. The Chicago Art Institute is having some great exhibitions over the summer. Many art museums and galleries throughout the Chicagoland area offer classes and workshops for children and their families as well.  I want to wish all my students and their families a happy and safe summer.    - Ms. Blaser
