Welcome!
We are well into the cold and flu season! Because colds and the flu share many symptoms, it can be difficult to tell the difference between them based on symptoms alone. To help prevent the spread of illness, please keep your child home for 24 hours after a fever, vomiting and/or diarrhea have resolved. Although most children feel and look better within hours, they often are still contagious and may spread illness.
Remind your children to cover coughs and sneezes, not to share food and drinks and to wash their hands often. Hand washing is the number one way to help prevent the spread of illness.
Parents may request indoor recess and that their child be excused from physical education after an illness for two days. If you are requesting more than two consecutive school days, a note must be furnished from a physician.
Just a reminder that all medications including over the counter medicines require a note from your physician before it can be administered at school.
Thank you for helping to keep
Park School happy and healthy!
