WELCOME!
Here at Park School, we are excited to have this webpage available as another valuable communication tool between school and home.

Our students in first, second, and third grades come to the computer lab for two 45 minute sessions per week (Kindergarten is seen once a week).  The students work with a variety of programs that are taught by their classroom teacher.  The teachers create computer lessons to go along with what the students are learning in class. Many of the projects are displayed in the halls throughout the school year before they are sent home.

The software titles used in the lab are:

Microsoft Word – Typing up sentences and creating stories
Microsoft Publisher – Create flyers, brochures, greeting cards, etc.
Microsoft Excel – Graphing
Microsoft PowerPoint – Creating presentations
KidPix – Create stories as the illustrator and author
Inspiration – Improve writing and create thought-provoking projects
Type to Learn 3 – Learn and practice typing skills
Internet - Reinforcing math, reading, and research skills

We strive for our students to have the best technology available to them so that they will be a vital part of our technologically advanced world.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about our technology at Park School.

Thank you,

Mrs. Nancie Miller
