The district will provide free transportation for all students who reside: (1) a distance of one and one-half (1 1/2) miles or more from their assigned schools, or (2) within 1 1/2 miles of the assigned schools, but for whom walking would constitute a serious hazard as determined by the Illinois Department of Transportation standards. Status of your child's eligibility will be communicated during the summer.
Orland School District 135 offers a fee-based transportation program for students who do not qualify for free transportation under the provisions of IL State Statute. This program is offered on a first-come-first-serve basis and dependent on availability at the time of the written request. Please note that the fee's for the 2021-2022 school year have increased per the February 2020 board meeting.

$230.00 - One way service (AM or PM)
Payments are NON-REFUNDABLE
To register a student for 2021-2022 fee-based transportation, please complete the registration form by clicking here. Complete this form for each child that you are requesting bus service for. All payments must be made through Skyward Family Access. The Transportation department will communicate receipt of your request and add the appropriate fee to your child's account. Once this fee is paid, your request is complete and will be submitted to the bus company for bus assignment creation.
