In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in order to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our school community, Joint Guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education and the Illinois Department of Public Health requires that every student and staff undergo a daily symptom screening prior to utilizing School District transportation or entering any School District building.
The current list of symptoms for health certification:
Fever (100.4°F or higher)
New onset of moderate to severe headache
Shortness of breath
Abdominal pain from unknown cause
New congestion/runny nose
New loss of sense of taste or smell
Fatigue from unknown cause
Muscle or body aches.
*Note: Symptoms you should consider are new-onset that are not attributed to allergies or a pre-existing condition.
If you exhibit any of these symptoms, DO NOT REPORT TO SCHOOL/WORK
Students: Symptom Certification Forms for the first day of school were mailed to all students attending class in-person. Printed forms for the remainder of the school year were sent home with each student. Please contact your school's main office if you do not have the necessary form.
Staff: Staff are required to conduct daily symptom screening each scheduled workday prior to departing for work. This form must be submitted before reporting to work each scheduled workday throughout the course of the 2020-21 school year or until further notice.
