Microphone
  • In our seventh-grade language arts classes, students created a podcast using the power of their voice amplified through GarageBand to demonstrate their research and production skills to then tell the story of a notable woman important to them for Women's History Month.  Students planned their production using a Numbers file created by content area teachers and the technology coach to guide the students while providing independence of expression.

BookFlix
  • When students are assigned to read a novel in their language arts classes they are able to use this Keynote file to help them decide what books they are interested in reading.  Each book cover is hyperlinked to a book trailer video that offers a teaser promotion of the text.  This personalization of learning allows for increased student achievement.

Choice Board
  • Choice boards have become another staple in our ability to provide student choice. Here are four examples of how personalization of learning is taking place here at Century.

Math HyperDoc
  • HyperDocs are used in an instructional math class for students on math support services, students are able to practice the next math concept at their individual skill level while having a voice in the process of meeting their learning goals.
