Community Leaders in Action Award

The District 135 Community of Learners in Action Award is our school district’s highest honor, established to celebrate the extraordinary individuals and organizations who exemplify our core mission, vision, and values every single day.

This award recognizes the unsung heroes—our parents, staff, students, and community partners—whose actions cultivate a supportive, exceptional learning environment. We believe that our success is built on the collective efforts of those who go above and beyond to show commitment, kindness, innovation, and resilience.

How to Nominate

If you know a person or group whose dedication has made a significant and measurable positive impact on our community, we invite you to nominate them in one of the following categories:

The District 135 Kindred Spirit Award
The District 135 Resilience Award

Entries will be accepted until early April 2026. Winners will be notified at the end of April and/or early May 2026.

A single honoree selected from the category winners will receive the prestigious overall "Community of Learners in Action Award" at the end of the school year.
