Curriculum Guides

District 135 recognizes the responsibility of providing our students with the most current research - based and best practices available in the field of education. Our instruction is designed to provide all students with a rigorous and relevant curriculum and to ensure that every student has access to knowledge and skills that challenges him or her to reach mastery.

A curriculum cycle has been developed to review, evaluate, and update all subject areas on a regular basis. This process involves alignment to Illinois Learning Standards and Performance Descriptors, ongoing analysis of data, focus on student learning, and a mindset of continuous improvement. As new federal and state standards are published for all subjects, Orland School District 135 utilizes the new standards to guide its curriculum. As our District develops updated curriculum guides, they will become available on our website. Until new guides are developed, our website provides links to standards throughout subject areas.

The department also emphasizes preparation and continuing professional development for educators at all grade levels.  Orland School District 135's curriculum guides are the results of hard work and dedication from the wonderful teachers in our District.
