District PFE Information

About Parents for Education (PFE)

The PFE is a parent/guardian volunteer group dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of our D135 students and staff through fundraising and events. Each D135 building maintains its own PFE board which operates under the leadership of District 135’s PFE. It is one of the best ways to get involved with your school(s) as it presents opportunities to help plan and facilitate fundraisers and events while collaborating with building administrators and other volunteers. Volunteering with the PFE is also a great way to meet other families in our community!

PFE Volunteer Opportunities

While it varies by school buildings, every PFE has volunteer opportunities that range from daytime (school hours), afternoon and evening hours. There are opportunities for varying commitment levels as well. From a one time event to short or long term committees, there is a space for everyone to be involved. Reach out to your building’s PFE for more detailed information:

  • Author Visits
  • Assemblies
  • Special Treat days for students
  • Staff Appreciation
  • Sports outings (ex: Wolves, Thunderbolts, Sox)
  • Dances
  • Community events such as roller skating parties, mini golf, staff volleyball games, district Fun Run
  • Spiritwear
  • Family Nights
  • Bingo Nights
  • And so much more!

Meeting Dates

D135 PFE meetings take place the Thursday following the Board meeting.

**All meetings will be at the D135 Administration Center and begin at 9:15 AM, unless otherwise noted.
