JJH: Hoops for Heart a Success in 2017

Jerling Junior High School had a record 466 students participate in their annual Hoops for Heart fundraiser benefitting the American Heart Association.  In total, students and staff at Jerling raised $6,122 for the event.

The eighth graders raised $1601.00, seventh graders raised $1636.00, and sixth graders were able to raise the most money, coming in at $2800.00!

Students participated in a basketball tournament during the school day on Friday, February 10th.  Those who did not want to play basketball were able to participate in other activities, such as jumping rope and hula hooping.    The top fundraisers will receive complimentary tickets to a Chicago Wolves game in April!

We are very proud of our students and the generosity they exude every day and with every fundraising event!  Congratulations, and a job well done to all of the students and staff that participated.
