OSD135 Staff & Students Raise $38,481 for American Heart Association During 2019-2020 School Year
During the 2019-2020 school year, the Physical Education teachers at Prairie, Century, Meadow Ridge, Center, High Point, and Jerling, along with their students raised $38,481.36 for the American Heart Association during the Kids Heart Challenge.
The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health organization dedicated to being a force for a world of longer, healthier lives.
Below are the amounts that each school raised for the AHA.
- Meadow Ridge: $7,691.27
- Center: $3,422.89
- High Point: $8,321.99
- Prairie: $8,649.77
- Century: $2,790.65
- Jerling: $7,604.79
At the Board of Education meeting on October 13th, 2020, an American Heart Association representative presented a plaque to each school as well as the District to thank them for their efforts. (picture below)
